Our menu reflects a love of good rustic home cooked food, not to mention Emma's scrummy cakes!

Darren has been a chef since leaving school, he spent 26 years in the Army reaching the rank of Warrant Officer. He has honed his skills as a chef sometimes in the harshest environments, catering all over the world, feeding the soldiers whilst on operations abroad and in the UK. He has honed his skills as a chef sometimes in the harshest environments, catering all over the world, feeding the soldiers whilst on operations abroad and in the UK. He had the privilege to cater for senior officers and Royalty.
Since leaving the Army he has been an Executive chef in London. So apart from a day job Darren, what else do you do? Run Rustic Rhubarb at the weekends! That’s dedication for you!

Emma loves to bake and enjoys creating amazing cakes, being a veteran Military wife doesn’t come lightly, she’s learnt to be supportive, loyal, loving, fierce and reliable!
Rural care (based here at Aldenham Country Park) is her other passion and providing rewarding work experience and training within the cafe has always been important to

Rural Care get involved in every aspect of running a busy country park cafe. Emma and the team provide a warm, welcoming and safe environment where everyone feels part of something. Offering opportunities for people with additional needs within a hospitality environment.

Aimee manages everything social media from home while looking after her young children. Aimee has recently been showcasing her skills in the kitchen…..creating some amazing dishes that her Dad was so proud of! She has been running the kitchen on Sundays. Aimee really enjoys going for meals and spending time with her family and paw-some pup Xiche!

Rege loves all things coffee, a real expert in knowing how to pour the perfect cup!
A good guy to have around and will muck in where he’s needed….from serving lovely customers, washing up to property maintenance. Rege also has a real sweet tooth when it comes to the cakes…..everything’s his new favourite!

Ava is our Kitchen Porter, keeping the kitchen tip-top and assisting the chefs is where you’ll find her! Ava has a love for all animals, particularly dogs and has her own dog called Luna. You only have to mention that a cute dog is outside and she’s there!

Nick is another of our wonderful chefs and works at Rustic Rhubarb on the weekends, a real calm, cool kinda guy! Nick has worked for over 25 years at some prestigious sites and contracts all over London. Currently a senior chef for a London based company.…check out his instagram where he regularly posts mouthwatering creations. Nick enjoys music, football and cars in his free time.

Zoe is our newest member of staff and helped us out on a really busy weekend. She smashed it and decided she would like to work for us and works on Sundays. Zoe loves to meet our doggy customers and has her own dog Ollie. Baking, is her way to relax and a little retail therapy whilst catching up with friends and family. Zoe has a love for all things art, painting in particular.

Giorgio works on Sundays at Rustic Rhubarb….he was lucky to train at ‘Foxes Academy’ in Minehead and has learnt all the skills he needs to work the front of house. Giorgio really does offer service with a smile!
Giorgio loves to watch Eastenders in his spare time, and has a real talent for baking delicious goodies. Check out his amazing baking videos on tik-tok!

Josh currently works during the holidays at Rustic Rhubarb when he comes home from University. You will find him helping serve food, assisting the chefs and making some really good coffee. Josh is studying a film production degree at Arts University Bournemouth. Watch out Spielberg! Josh also has an extensive knowledge of music, particularly 80’s classics!

Sadie started her Rustic Journey at a young age and has been with us since our first year of opening. Sadie works every Saturday and during the holidays at Rustic Rhubarb. Sadie works out the front serving and assisting customers with a smile! Sadie has recently been Barista training with Shue and making some great coffee! Sadie loves all our four-legged customers and has her own pup called 'Sodapop’. Sadies favourite treat is a cookie topped with whipped cream!

Ed loves, music, animals and most importantly food! You’ll find Ed charming all our customers…a real cheeky chappy who leaves a lasting impression on you! Ed is a bit of an animal whisperer, he has three dogs, Bailey Boy, Tia & Morgan.
Ed's likes to work hard, and after a shift at Rustic Rhubarb really looks forward to a Rustic breakfast- it’s his favourite!

Geoff runs his own business but helps Team Rhubarb out whenever he can! A real geezer and full of fun!
Geoff runs an organised kitchen as long as he’s had his caffeine fix! A real softy, particularly so when it comes to Edward, an extra large portion of fries are always important aren’t they! Food is most definitely the way to Edwards heart! (As Geoff knows!)
We don’t serve fast food, we serve GOOD food as FAST as we can!
